The Cedar Tree, Fredericton

When I was in Fredericton recently, I was, of course, on the look out for good coffee. It didn’t take me long to find The Cedar Tree right on the main street, and I visited at least 3 times and got take away coffee too.  Their cappucino was superb, and deserved a few minutes dedicated to enjoying it. I also tried a spicy mix was was superb. If I ever get back to Fredericton, The Cedar Tree will be a regular haunt again – great coffee and great people.

Brewed Awakenings Fredericton

I’ll be posting all kinds of things about my recent trip to Fredericton, New Brunswick for the Harvest Jazz & Blues festival – and some of the posts will be about music! But I did sample several coffees there too. One of the street vendors was selling an assortment of food, which I didn’t try, but I had a cup of their coffee, which was very very good. A strong, robust coffee which certainly hit the spot. This is what they say:

We strive to affect change in the world through our business by selling coffees that are fairly traded and environmentally sustainable.

We promote ourselves as 100% greed and corporate free! We also have a focus on local products in our catering and coffee services.

Diddly Bow Delivery

Well, Mojobow to be precise. Local musician Lee Bates advertised this recently at a very good price so I jumped at the chance. It was waiting for me at home last night but as I was on my way out to play a gig (more later) I only had time to pick it up and gaze in wonder Video & audio clips will be forthcoming.

Aynsley Lister on The Blues Show – video

Last Sunday I was fortunate enough to have Aynsley Lister as a guest on the Blues Show. He chose all of the music that we played (playlist to follow) and also gave us 3 superb songs. I present one here for your enjoyment and the others are at my YouTube channel

Update; I’ve had to just put the link to the video as the embedding function isn’t working properly.
